If you aim to lose 20 pounds but stop at 10, you're not done yet.

I think you're misunderstanding. I can lose 20 pounds of fat, but the gains in muscle will offset the total loss of weight.

The car doesn't care if it's 20 pounds of muscle, fat or ball bearings.

Haha, well yeah of course. You could starve yourself to lose 20 pounds but then you'll probably faint while driving!

You haven't seen me. I could lose 20 pounds without myself or anyone else noticing.

In reality, I've been dedicating myself into running laps at my local recreation center and also a local high school track as much as I can throughout each week.

I used to weigh closer to 195 lbs, and I've lost about 10 lbs so far... I'm trying to reach a steady 170-175 lbs, and I think I'll be good as long as I maintain the habit of consistent exercise and diet.

After trimming off the excess weight, you'd be surprised at how much more athletic and more energetic one can feel when performing 25 minute track sessions during HPDE events (as @wbradley pointed out).

I'm 6'4" and weigh about 250, I could trim down to 220, but thats as far as i would go because I would have to start losing muscle mass after that. Sucks being a big guy to start with, but thats why god invented FI

That made my day. Couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud at that one. I think it was the fact that you actually went back and checked into the idea.
