This car wasn't made to be a track car and probably won't be amazing as such but being competitive and being able to drive it home counts for a lot |

As soon as i get it this is what will be done:
1-Gutted interior 2-Lightweight battery 3-Custom Cage 4-Racing Seats 5- light weight Rotors & pads + ss lines when available 6-2 sets of RPF1'S with federal racing tires or nt01's 7-Intake 8-Catback 9-Debating on suspension i have to drive it first. Car will be stored at my garage at a local track im not even going to get insurance or plates. I wonder if my mods will void my warranty since the only performance mods will be a trd intake & exhaust?? Last edited by track_warrior; 04-30-2012 at 01:27 AM. |

I forgot to ad:
-Tow Hooks -Schroth racing 6 point harness -Fire suppression system -Window net -Arm restraints -AC Delete Super curious to know if scion would void my warranty with these mods lol. Showing up with a broken race car on a trailer almost stock engine wise. Quote:

Once you put race tires on it, the suspension will feel very soft for a track/race car. Especially with the stiffened chassis (via cage). You're going to need to up your spring rates, go with adjustable shocks (probably double-adjustable coil-overs) and then the tuning begins. And I don't mean "tuning" as in "adding parts". I mean "tuning" as in adjusting those added parts so that they actually make you go faster.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...3&postcount=29 No one should do business with them, ever, for any reason. Especially when there are much closer and much better options. I'm on Motons at the moment but if I could do it again I'd get JRZs so that I could get local rebuilds... YMMV |

I had custom JIC's (made for my car) and they were pretty great in terms of ride and track use.
Bit expensive though and yes customer service is meh. |

It's on the list of potentials. Focus ST is in the lead, and the BRZ arguably makes less sense than my E36, but, yet, here I am
edit: as a DD. Not to replace the Evo. kanundrum: I suspect if you were happy with JICs for track you would have been just as happy with BC Racing, K2, D-sport, etc. I'll stop ranting now... |

if you say they were that bad then maybe I had a different scenario or my situation was different as well but I thought they were excellent. I don't doubt they had issues but I had none of them in terms of the product anyway. Never the less they will not be going on the FRS. |

does anyone know much about track day insurance? i witnessed a GT3RS get loose and smash the entire left side of the car into some armco and the driver didn't seem too upset about it. i can only assume he either had more money than we gave him credit for, or he had some kind of track day insurance.
