I'm sure if I had done it within my first year of autox-ing it would have been a huge leg up and I'd be much better now for it. But I wouldn't want to do it without 2-3 events under my belt.

20 runs on the same course with two excellent autoxers setting times in your car and riding along critiquing you can be totally worth it. You can get that experience yourself for sure, but to have a few months or even years worth of experimentation concentrated into one day is certainly a value added proposition.
Agree to disagree. I think the only better way to start is Starting Line or equivalent. There were a few complete novices on Saturday.

Last SFR SCCA event of the year http://www.sfrautox.com/?page_id=162

You can find run group order and the link pre-registration above. Remember to check run group order Saturday night just in case there is a change in run group order.

Same here. It became pretty clear the course designer made a course to fit his CAM-T car too...

It's fine, it's been done before.

I thought course was ok, didn't get a good flow of it. Most likely because what follows up the turn-arounds were on the hard side of the course.

I'd be surprised if anyone felt like they got a good flow going unless they left some time out there, but that's why we keep doing this instead of HPDE, for the challenge :P

You have a choice to do either. You don't have to compete if you don't want to, AKA, run as fun.
