By request, Fujitsubo has updated this front pipe to include a wideband O2 sensor bung.

New part number 110-23127

Hmm. O2 bung pre-cat? What for? If it were after 2nd cat, then it might work as O2 spacer reducing CEL chances, but why weld bung before it?

there's no cat on this front pipe.

double resonator. Plus, this is meant more for wideband tuning than anything else. Without some type of O2 extension cable, you can't get any of the factory sensors this far back anyhow.

I just recall (IIRC) Apexi cylinder back exhaust with catless header + o2 extention cable + bung after 2ndary cat in frontpipe, hence thought if bung addition on this was intended for similar reasons.

Apex'i header system is meant to replace entire OEM header/OP/front pipe setup, and have a functional catalytic converter for street use in Japan.

Their O2 is before the primary cat, which is now located in the secondary cat location on the front pipe.

The Fujitsubo front pipe is just straight through design with resonators. I had suggested to them that adding wideband O2 bung would make the front pipe a better investment for buyers, since not all headers on the market have wideband O2 sensor bung.

@Mr.Impreza - not in stock at FR Sport. I'll email Cusco, but it sure seems like a hassle to get one of these. Hopefully worth it.

Could you also suggest to them to make the bolt holes A LOT bigger on the flange connecting to the mid-pipe (spring bolts). They are ridiculously SMALL!! Can't even fit a 14mm bolt through there. I think the OEM nut/bolt on that flange was 17 or 19mm.

Yes you can drill a bigger hole there yourself.. but for a "high end" brand, this is an unacceptable oversight.

This front pipe is designed with OEM spring bolt in mind. I don't think this is an oversight at all.

The OEM spring bolt is 14mm on the midpipe side and 12mm on the front pipe side.

You're absolutely right, found my old stock front pipe today just to compare. Guess I've been using the bigger aftermarket bolts & nuts for too many years now.

The pipe is 'stock-quiet', as advertised! I noticed a welcomed change in the tone of my exhaust too. But without the noise!

My mid pipe flange was too thick to use with the stock hardware. If anyone else runs into this problem with the front pipe head to advanced auto and buy part #03143, that should fit.
