In your pics, you can see how easy it is to do. Grind tab, drill holes, and move forward over 1''.
Nice idea.

Were there any issues with the upper mounts and/or hoses when you did that? Did it cause any fitment issues with your intercooler?

They said they would have an update a couple weeks after SEMA but the project is progressing. Probably best to just look at the blogs on vorshlag.com and wait for an update. The new Mustang is probably a bit higher priority for them right now.

No issues with fitment and clearance from the IC,,there's lots of room in front of he radiator.

So in on this.

Good to see some more competition in the LS swap mounting kit. I can accept all the price factors except 8K for the mounting when it is so much lower in cars like S14s where the novelty has faded.

If you can find a used 2013 FRs for under $20K there must be a route for having the reliable excitement of a vette motor in one of these for considerably less than the cost of an entire used corvette at $50K.

The 02 SS Camaro had to be detuned because it was faster than chevy's flagship Corvette.

Yeah the 99-02 camaro's are a great budget performance platform.

patiently awaiting more progress on this. crazy to think that he dropped off his car almost a year ago for the development. Thats a long time to wait without being able to drive the car at all.

I follow up on this on occasion. Also, new pics are always added randomly, from time to time:

Having difficulties with the production headers......they are now sending them back for the fourth time and having problems with the turnaround times with the manufacture......Vorshlag is very anal about not only getting them right,.. but perfect. They could easily take a ball peen hammer and dent them in one last interference area but they refuse to work that way or expect customers too,.... last sticking point is the steering column shaft touching on drivers side header, passenger side was good first try...pulleys and all accessories are routed and cooling system is done......wiring for the GM engine ECU I do believe starts this week. the proposed start up date is first week of March......its been a long wait If this wasn't going to be a Kit that could be purchased from Vorshlag I would of been driving it early last fall...... (taking one for the team)....they already had perfectly designed and engineered headers fitted from scratch ( long tubes ) in August. They got sent out to make a production run to copy.....that's were the headache lies and is also why my costs are down, allowing to do the development work for the kit, custom long tube headers run about 5k from vorshlag I've been told. For me and kit buyers it will be substantially less than half that with a production run instead of a one off design. The headers alone on similar LS conversions are worth another 50Hp.

If this comes in at under $12k for the complete turn key swap I will do this instead of a built turbo motor.
