Not long for us now!

When is your pickup date scheduled for? Mine is 14th.
Compliance date will depend on what date in December Toyota decided to make the 'cut-off'

I spoke with Toyota Friday 14/12 and was told my car would be complianced 2013 and that was with a build date of 21/12. As it has turned out the car was built 26/12

Considering mine would not be leaving Japan before 01/01/13 it's understandable but it would be nice to know the actual cut-off date - easy to see if they built a car on Monday 31/12 it's total unfair that the customer would get a car that's already one year old 'officially' before it left for Australia

I delivered my plates to the Dealer yesterday and was able to find it will be on the 'Augustus Aguila' out of Yokohama but all searches I've done have failed to find a ship of that name to track - will check with TMCA tomorrow to confirm the ships name

Good luck all and Happy New Year!!

Will be interested to know, I'm told they come with a jack etc and also now a 'spacesaver', anyone confirm that?

Also told the reason they 'dumped' the spare alloy was due to a shortage, not sure if that's true or not

Source? I haven't heard anything about this change. Toyota website still states that it comes with the puncture repair kit that is all.

Also, 86th page

Just having that checked now about the spacesaver, first I'd heard but I rang this morning about seeing if it had a jack etc, otherwise i'd be ordering one now - still getting a full size spare regardless, even if it does have a spacesaver

Thanks

Our 86 has a jack, wheel brace, screwdriver (same reversable one as our wrx - made me chuckle), tow hook (although our dealer left all 3 tow hooks in there), bottle of goo and an air compressor. We picked ours up last week.

Can't find my screwdriver. And yeah, mine's a NOV 12 production (rolloff 22nd), no spacesaver, goo pump. Going to try and get a spacesaver for it...

EDIT;

Also, echoing Mr. Shinobi up there; As of 750km in (within two days!), I can say, definitely worth it.

Thanks Nezz - I am ordering a full size thru Goodyear North Lakes, dont care if it's a mag or steel so long as the size is right and I got the measures

Enjoy the ride!! When I bring mine home it's a run thru tight 40kph bends!! Up down and around!! so will have 160km + on it by the time I get home, plus a few bugs!!

I'd say it should be on the ship now, riung your Dealer and he can tell what ship it is on, if not, ring TMCA 1800-252 097 and ask them, they are happy to assist
