I just finished Interlagos and you can complete it with FT at 1, RS on softs. Just gotta back off the gas before and turn and sort of cruise to save on tire thread at around lap 8 or so. I try to do the other races. Not a fan of sardegna but Dragon Trail Sea Side is my favorite one.

Interlaggos, I tried with RS tires, but apparently I was the only one who had to pit in (every other AI never pitted), so I went from 1st to finishing 11th... |

Yeah for Interlagos push as much as you can until you catch the AI, then once you build a 10 second or so gap, start cruising on the corners, shouldn’t need to pit. Only push on the main straight or as necessary to build momentum. I finished with my rear passenger tire almost completely gone.

Yep RS tires. The AI takes a pretty wide line and doesn’t take the ones one would normally take on the TT on Sport. Attack the inside turns and you quickly catch up to 1st, then is just saving tires by the methods I explained earlier.

Will have to try again tomorrow. I think I have a hard time driving these kinds of cars. Similar to the formula cars.

I think there’s 2. I have to tinker with it a little more. So far the inly thing I wish for is a gear shift indicator as I missed proper shift zones.

I like the immersion of the VR. The difference between doing a lap for fun with a timed lap, I can barely keep up with response time. Slowly getting used to it. Its almost terrifying.

I didn 't see the "best lap" comment only the part about "just cried while sitting in my fake car" so I mostly expected to watch and see you completely crash it into the wall and flip over into the fence.
Great lap.

This is by far the best use of current VR in my view, the user is "stationary" and moving through and environment in a vehicle.

Thanks! Unfortunately not fast enough. By the time I realized where I was wasting time the event had already ended. I got pretty dizzy the first two laps but got used to it the more I pushed. Its just getting used to anticipating the lap and really nailing down the braking zones.

I'd probably get motion sickness. Plus not having a steering wheel set up would be no fun.

Also, that's the advantage of being stationary. Your brain (or at least most) process it as if you really are in a vehicle and the world is moving around you, vs your moving not coordinating with physical body queues (inner ear stuff).
