LOL, DAMN!

With the newfound wealth I got to work buying all the classic cars I could, plus a few special "invitation" vehicles as well as a few of the high dollar engine swaps (Chiron, cough cough).

It's not so much I want to horde vehicles, or fill out a collection. I want to own all these classics so I can stage my own classic car races. Since PD decided to do absolutely nothing with all those cars.

If you haven't completed the weekly challenge for this week, the race at Interlagos is a blast if you're using the AMUSE S2000 on RH tires. Hly shit that car takes off.

same. I just.... want to have cars so I can use them lol. Still don't understand why they put months into modelling a car only to have it either locked behind an invite that some people don't get despite playing since launch, or have them be prohibitively expensive. I bet there are cars like that only a few % of players ever used

New Time Trial for Watkins Glen Short course using an Alpine car. Bit of a tricky track but I guess the trick is to barely use the brakes, except maybe on the first turn and take wide racing lines. You'd be surprised what you can get away with regarding track limits.

Another thing, what would be the equivalent of Cup 2-R Tires? SS? RH? Asking because I want to see if I can come anywhere close the 992 GT3 RS Nürburgring Record of 6:44.848.

Daily race C is interesting. Only tried a couple laps each for the LF-A, RX7, and the Supra. Didn't do an actual race yet.

I've noticed the fastest drivers take these obscene racing lines and then that S section can be lethal. The car also seems to slow down via Aerodynamics in itself, so the brake indicator can throw me off or the gear indicator.

I've noticed that the gear indicator is usually one gear lower than what you can take a corner at. For braking, I use half a lap to see how a car brakes in relation to either the brake indicator, or my usual general braking zones for the given track. For my driving style, I usually tend to brake maybe 1/5 or 1/4 second after the suggested braking indicator comes on. Sometimes even after that. lol.

I actually don't watch other drivers' replays since I think my driving style is unorthodox, and the couple of times I've watched and tried some other driver's lines, I end up getting slower times

That bugatti time trial is definitely doable. After about half an hour I'm only 0.9s away. There is this one section where I can definitely gain half a second. The other 4 tenths can be scraped together here and there. The difficult part is knowing how the hell the top guys avoid understeer in the chicane and a couple of other sections. I should really watch a replay

Well, had my first race online, it was at the Nurburgring. Ended 5th haha. I was being more careful of not crashing into other drivers than placing high. Could’ve been 3rd but I literally crashed at the last turns after the long straight.

It was fun, I think Im going to do Sardegna next.

I did it! I won!

What a high! Skip towards minute 13:00 to see the winning pass.

Can’t tell you how many laps I did prior to deciding to join the race. My very first win in Sport, on a second race.
