A new or resprayed bumper.. PPF and ceramic go a long way to protect. I still have a few spots large shit broke the PPF and damaged the bumper.

Low cars suck when everyone is driving SUVs now. Trucks kick up all kinds of debris.

Edit I should have read the thread first so I didn't give the same answer 7 times.
Same. I think it means we have consensus though :P

Agreed! Paint protection options have come a long way over the last decade.

When I learned ceramic coatings harden the paint a smidge that was enough of a reason for me to DIY it.

Your best bet is to get it fixed or just buy a new front bumper and then clear bra. I hear people who say just to have it repainted. Anyone that says this likely has never had a car repainted...To take a car like this to a reputable shop and have them repaint the front bumper to at least near OEM quality all while color matching the car is not cheap. You are looking at hundreds of dollars at least, maybe more. And what usually happens is the paint is crap and chips worse than OEM afterward.

I have clear bra on my front bumper and headlights. Years later, the car still looks new and I live in a state with more rocks than anywhere. Every freeway in Phoenix, Arizona is landscaped with rocks and they all flow out on the road every time it rains.

Coming home from work today, this piece of trash (maybe wood, rubber, or a piece of tire or something) hit my front bumper. Made a solid noise and when I got out to check, there was a huge scuff mark on the passenger side of the bumper As if my bumper wasn't bad enough lol luckily, there was no dents or anything. I'll have to go see about trying to get it buffed out and touched up or something. But yeah this sucks

Just throwing this out there, but if you get the 3M PPF and purchase their service warranty, if debris puncture the film and damage the bumper, 3M will pay to get the film replaced and the bumper repainted.

So I'm interested in the clear bra or PPF made by 3M however when I check their website ( https://www.nochip.ca/collections/su...ro-series-kits ) it only gives option for 2013 - 2016....I have the 2017 which I believe has a slight design change to the front bumper. Has anyone found this available in a 2017?

Was the paint quality improved in the latest models (MY2018 - ...) or is it the same?

Yes

Although the deal was just for one year I felt like I was using him so just kept doing it. Three summers now.
BTW, still mowing the neighbour's lawn? Will come in good use when the Hakone needs a refresher..

Is neighbour at cottage. I wouldn’t throw my neighbour at home a life ring if they were drowning much less cut their grass.
