I like my usual open door jump out before the door slams on me... it makes me keep my agility up.

I swear my parking spot at work is level as you can get. Door shuts. And it doesn't just barely shut, no, it shuts hard enough to shut all the way.

You can always recognize 86 drivers by looking at their shins.

Well, @radroach is from Tennessee and you are in Arkansas.

Sometimes, it ain't all that easy to figure slope, in the hill country, ...... especially if one leg is shorter than the other......

http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/53

Now, if you park your car in one direction and the door closes and you park your car in the other direction ...... and the door closes ....... you may be on to a new "Mystery Spot".

I have never noticed the doors closing on me. I must have got the super special sticky-door edition, either that or I know how to use a car door?

Well, now, PresiO, have you checked out post #3 ...... ??

When you open and close your car door, do you feel it slip into the notches built into the door closer hinge.

If not, it is either lose, broken or worn out.

Fair enough. I only reverse up the driveway so I may have just never noticed what everyone else is experiencing.

I even will hold it there for a few seconds and make sure it gets into the notches and about 5 seconds later.... WHAM.....

I would say its probably just worn out but its been like this since I got the car almost 4 years ago.

but its progressively gotten worse so I'm guessing it was a problem that got even worse as time went by.

I just checked mine again and it takes quite a bit of effort to push the door out of the notches.

You may wish to purchase a couple new closers.

They shouldn't be that expensive. (ya right....).

They look to be easy to replace ....... after you get the door apart .....

OR, the one beer humfrz redneck fix: ...... twist the closer arm with a pair of channel locks to deform it. ........
