The one thing I definitely will NOT drop to keep the weight on this thing down.. is the sound system.
I understand that they add a fair amount of weight and all that... but I love listening to loud music. Driving's not the same without it.
Hell, I may even keep the A/C. The control panel just looks so nice.. even though they'll prolly change it.

I can't be convinced that they're showing a production version. It's too far off the projected production date.
From what I understand, it's just a rumor that the version at Geneva is going to be the production version, right?
I don't remember seeing anything official about a production version showing.

I'm quite partial to class D... I'd like Alpine's PDX-4.150, but.. that's a little more than I've got to spend at this moment.
Maybe sometime soon, but for now, the MRP-F300 is fine. It's class D, too, but it's not quite... powerful enough.

Well... there are a lot of things that would be nice to have.. and right now, I have more important matters to attend to, so.. my 300 watts will do until I have other matters sorted.

Aaaaaanyway, loud music = :happy0180:

Maybe I'm thinking full tank and my fat ass in there.. Or I'm just confused.

Either way, most of this stuff is still pretty unrealistic (sarcasm aside).

1400 kg, is about 2900 lbs! so it's not that light.

Lotus, with its famous elise which is about 1000kg would be THE car maker which is able to build a lightweight 2+2 seater, so i am really shocked that the evora is that heavy! Somewhere i read that the ft86 perhaps will be around 1250kg. I cant see toyota building a lighter 2+2 seater for half the price of the evora

I think everything below 1300kg would be extremely awesome.

Pray for good news...

the evora is not a striped out car like the elise adn exige. It has a full sound system, sat nav, full interior..and a much heavier v6 to boot.

True. Hell the interior looks like aluminum paneling with no trim at all. Even some of the paneling has holes in it to save weight lol.

my point is that the ft will probably be in the 2800+ lbs just because all the safety equipment!

plus not every one want this car for driffting purposes, so toyota has to equipt this car for lots of different taste!

That's why many here are hoping a lower weight, more performance equipped, and lower cost "competition" model as rumoured comes about...
