Porn addiction. Then there's the midget tossing thing. Though it only took one pissed off midget to get over that. Getting my ass kicked by a midget is not an event I'd like to repeat.

Messed up my shot at graduating at my dream school. Working full time and getting my bachelors in Accounting at a smaller school. Then returning back to the school I loved for a finance degree and CPA certification.

Watching my 8 year old grandson being wheeled away on a hospital bed for open heart surgery.. That was a horrific day and a feeling I hope to never experience again..
A close second was my sons fight with Hodgkin's lymphoma at stage 3B.
A parents worst nightmare come true..
These events make you realize what's truly important in life and all the things that aren't.
I too am a cancer survivor, going on 6 years now.
These life events sure make you appreciate the good times..
So don't sweat the small stuff.. And most of it is small stuff.. Hug the ones you love and tell them how you feel.. Don't take shit for granted.. For life comes at you all the time..

My stepson had heart surgery this past year. Twice, because the first one didn't fix the problem. He was lucky enough that they could do it remotely from the aortic and femoral arteries, but it's still extremely stressful and upsetting to know that behind that door, your son is laying on a table without a heartbeat. For eight hours. I can understand your pain, a little. My wife took the worst of it while it was happening, but it's a dreadful thing to force an 8 year old to face his own mortality. Twice.
