My bad. I will start a new thread once this is installed. BTW you must measure the required SHIM thickness ahead of time or in real time then get those from the Toyota dealer. I have 22 coming in the AM. So we try tomorrow to install it again.

On a sports car forum? REALLY?

I guess it's the 21st century.. might as well go green?

A lower final drive would go great with forced induction/raised rev limit, IMO.

Nothing wrong with getting better mileage. I had the same complaint about the Integra Type R and the S2000. Why am I cruising along at 70mph at 4000rpms? Stupid.

I, however, did not want to change the diff for the obvious reason it affects all the gears. I just wanted to put in a longer 6th gear so only the ratio of that gear is elongated. However I did my cost benefit analysis (not to mention there wasn't an alternative 6th gear for me to use) and realized the fuel savings would essentially never pay back the investment.

Ain't nothing wrong with a sports car that get great mileage. It's like your start dating this incredible looking girl that is way out of your league only to find out she's a chef that loves auto-racing. Just you try and say no to that!

@Jeff Lange
Ok so correct me if I'm wrong. The A/T has the same final drive, but different gears. I would like a shorter final drive, I know the gears will still be a bit further apart, but I would still see this as a plus for the car... even If I would miss hitting 60 in second. (Almost a requirement to me.) So the Lexus LSD is taller? Bummer. Wouldv'e trade for a shorter final drive, either to an M/T owner or a Lexus (with LSD of course....) the auto really is frustrating mid shenanigans... Doesn't have the torque for second and simply roasts 1st on the limiter.

Keep in mind 1st and 2nd gear will be shittier to use. Much easier to bog in 2nd gear means you'll end up shifting in 1st when now, as with current gearing, you don't need to.

It's okay to be confused. There are people who DD their cars and are more than happy with the torque but want more MPGs.

Can anyone 100% confirm if the entire rear end assembly is a bolt in, not just the internals? This is exactly what a boosted car needs and if we could score cheap diffs BONUS

I believe you can confirm it now lol.

Also for those interested, the ring and pinipn can be had for roughly 500$ from amayama.com I ordered mine from there!

Weir performance sells the ring and pinion for about $260. You'd want the supra mark 3 gears for our diff.
