2017 BRZ torque/power curve on dash...

Does anyone know if the torque/power graph is just an image with some marks that move with your RPM or does it recalibrate when you tune or go FI?

I expect it's static... but if it recalibrates, that would be amazing!

You know, I asked that same exact question in my head. My guess, is that its just a copy of the dyno and the line that moves across the HP and TQ curves is linked to throttle. So, my guess is that the curves will probably stay the same.

Hopefully, or we are cursed with a permanent reminder of the dreaded torque dip... basically the only negative of this amazing platform.

Nah, the side marker design is much worse. At least the torque dip can be fixed.

It's static, like others have said (and the manual says).

My 2017 BRZ is tuned and it does not change...

Aftermarket sidemarkers are cheaper than headers and a tune lol

As in the "sidemarker on the corner of the bumper" design. It looks very good deleted, and after removing the bumper its very prone to cause fitment issues. They should have relocated the sidemarker on the refresh.

A header and tune would be pretty close in cost to having a body shop delete the sidemarkers. I guess aesthetics bother me more than something that is non-existent for me now (no torque dip w/ a turbo).

That explains why one of my side markers doesn't sit flush ...i got my car brand new and it already had some deep scratches on the front bumper coming off the truck....they had to remove the bumper and repaint it

Yep, once the bumper comes off, they never seem to sit right on a majority of cars. At least the 13-14's I've seen.

Mine is 2015 model and the side marker on the right sticks out quite a bit...At first I thought there was something wrong with the metal tabs or I didn't insert it the right way

I find it very useful.. to see where I land in the curve after a _up shift_. Knowing this allows me to upshift at the right RPM next time. Basically -wring it out -wring it out at redline every shift
