Question Factory oil pressure switch

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could take a picture or tell me if the factory oil pressure switch is supposed to be flush or not with the block of the engine. I am reinstalling it and its pretty tight and I don't want to overtighten it, but the body of the sensor is not flush with the block (see pics). It doesn't leak though in its current state but if its supposed to be flush, then I'm afraid water might get there, freeze in winter, and then crack the block.

Thanks !

I guess I already overtightened it anyways

I'll leave it as it is, thanks!

I've never touched mine and it hasn't been touched unless removing the sensors is part of the valve spring recall work that was done earlier this year:

That thing looks like it is screwed in far enough on your car.

Also, that thing looks like it wouldn't take much to twist it off -

How do you reckon water is going to freeze around there and do damage to the block?

Like they say in the old country "iffen it don't leak - leave it alone"

I'm afraid its TOO far in now so I wanna redo it. I was paranoid that water could get on the threads and enter into the hole. I don't really know how all this works

Well, the more you mess with it, the more of a chance you will mess it up (twist it off/strip the threads) then you will have a real mess.

Even if water does get in the threads and it freezes and expands, as long as it has a place to expand to, nothing will be damaged.

I'm gonna ring up ol @Tcoat for you - for a second opinion, he is pretty smart about stuff like this -
