Do you do corner balancing for our cars? So you have an alignment rack also? I want a one stop shop for cross weight and final alignment

Multiple trips to Cali in my future

Sounds like I also need to find a ecutek shop in Cali with dyno who can do what I need
Delicious is at top of my list at present

im about to buy a helmet, for autocross/track days, both scca ruling events i belive.

From SCCA club racing rule book
Crash helmets approved by the Snell Foundation with
Snell sticker 2005 or later Special Application (SA2005) or
SAH2010, or by the SFI with a SFI Sticker SFI 31.1, or by the
FIA standard 8860-2004 or later

Would it b safe to say when SA2015 helmets come out, the SA2010 helmets will be still okay? I dont want to spend $700 on a helmet just for it to be not legal in 24 months.

Yes, typically the last TWO intervals are allowed.

We do not, but you have one of the best alignment shops in the world in SoCal. Give these guys a call (weekdays, business hours only).

http://www.yelp.com/biz/west-end-alignment-gardena

As for tuning, we recommend Church Automotive Testing.

http://home.earthlink.net/~spchurch/

While making one stop for everything might be convenient, we believe in going to a specialist for every little detail. The shops listed above are the sames ones that we go to for work on our shop cars (as well as my personal car).

Although we can do general work (and pretty much anyone can), we specialize in suspension and aero. If you want your car balanced (in terms of handling) and your dampers properly dialed in, we can do that for you. If you want to play with aero balance, we can help you with that as well.

i will be going to west end soon. would they be charging an arm and a leg for camber adjustments? my rear lcas are a pain in the ass because its being blocked by the subframe...

also, my friend might be selling me his federal 595rsrs in 235/40/17 for cheap and i am currently on 17x9, could i get away with using these even though the sweet spot is 245? its not too much of a "stretch" is it?

Call them. Their rates are actually very reasonable; they don't have an expensive laser machine to pay for

235 on a 9" will be just fine. It's at the end of the spec, but it's still in-spec.

I wouldn't recommend 595RSR though. You get what you pay for, and your friend is probably selling them for a reason....

i know they arent the best but i was most likely gonna use it for dding / a few spirited drives since my current tires need to be trashed. but thank you for the advice. my friend is selling because he found someone with rs3s brand new for cheap, lucky bastard.

HANS or ?

Looking at a HANS device for track days, HPDEs, lapping days, etc. A suggestion was made to investigate NecksGen. It looks like a simple but effective option to a HANS.

Anyone use one? Pros/Cons? How does it compare to HANS? Other viable options?

Thanks

Look into a R3 as well

I'd get a HANS or a R3.

Any personal experience with nt05s? If so how do you like them compared to something like the rs3

Their lateral grip is not quite as good as the other tires in the category, but they handle overheating very well.

Also note that they have less tread depth new.

NT05 looks fast as hell, but isn't. I was talked out of them by familiar faces here in these forums myself!

I also found this tire test (on a very interesting car!):
http://www.hotrod.com/feature_storie...ken_nitto.html

Dunlop ZII at one end of the spectrum, NT05 were slowest by a significant margin (~1.5 sec slower than RE11 or PSS).

Question:

For a budget spring-based suspension upgrade on the BRZ...

Are the Swift BRZ specific springs better vs. RCE Yellow?

I'm looking to stay planted and achieve better handling overall - particularly having the ability to stay "settled" even on lumpy twisty mountain roads. My BRZ seems more unsettled in the mountains than my FR-S ever was (stock vs stock). DD ride comfort isn't my priority to be honest.
