Cayman GT4 vs BRZ Shannonville full track

I can keep up cause Dad is a little rusty because of his age, and the Cayman has some handling issues. I dont know if its because of 20inch wheels, crappy Dunlop tires, or the computer for the sport suspension setting. The car just fights back and feels like it floats.

Great video, although I'm sure you'd enjoy it more if you could hear your engine note or in-cabin monologue/dialogue.

You can cut down the wind noise with an external mic (not expensive on Amazon), and experiment with mic placement.
I've tried under the hood (picked up lots of pulley squeak/chatter), inside the rear tow hook mount (near the exhaust - picks up a little wind noise), and inside the cockpit behind the seat (in the map pocket) - this last one allows less wind noise, captures engine note, and is helpful if you have an instructor talking with you.

Shit dude you're quick! Your second lap was around a 2:03 based on the time in your video and it looks to me like you're holding back in places.

So they don't come with Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires anymore due to our colder climates?

I thought the aero and sway bars are adjustable on the GT4 stock so that's something you can play with in the pits.

Just wondering how's the GT4 clutch pedal travel and shift throws compare to a stock BRZ?

Get out and practice then! It won't happen without lots of laps.

I lied, apparently my friends GT4 came with Sport Cup 2....maybe its random? haha

the clutch is alot stiffer on the GT4, feels more like a racing clutch. Travel is about the same. The shifter feels so good, I never liked the shifter on Subaru cars anyway

I wasn't holding back....I just dont have big enough balls. Also adjusting my driving a bit cause I made a switch from 245 to 225 tires.

Nice video. Wondering if you have any power mods?

I drove Shannonville a few times when I lived out East and really liked it. Lost my brakes one time at the end of the back straight when I still had the SVT. They had a little run out area there that I had to run into pumping the brakes.

Power is stock, the car came with HKS exhaust when I bought it used. I dont usually touch the engine, just brakes, tires, suspension and seats.
