I have the wheels in the specs you posted. 18x9.5 +34. I'm running 235/40s and a 5mm spacer on the back.
Coilovers / rolled fenders / a lil camber I could fit one size bigger if I wanted to.

These are some older pics when I wasn't quite as low, no problems.

you can fit 255's on an 8 in wheel

There is a lot of conflicting information in this thread. If we are talking fastest lap times, you want the tire's tread width as close to, or a little less than, the rim width. There is a reason why the fast Miata guys run a 225 tire on a 15x9 wheel.

If you want additional proof, there is an article about this in the December issue of Grassroots Motorsports where they tested with different size wheels and compared lap times.

As @brianlo622 suggested, a 245 would work well with a 9.5" inch wheel.

If you just want a wider tire for looks or curb rash prevention, that's a different thing.

Yeah i know i got the rim idea from your car but really it looks great, what coilovers do you have and did you have to get the rolled fenders or did you just choose to?

Any negative side effects to putting such a wide tire on such a small wheel?

I have megans. DO NOT buy them. They suck on so many levels. I'll be changing them soon, and you might be able to get away with not rolling them, but I'd highly suggest it or you might cut up your tires.

You would get quite a bit of roll while cornering.

Can someone just like help out and explain if these would fit if i stretched the tires to fit on a stock suspension
dude just put the wheels it should work no prob, and get coils later, done. u wont need fender rollin on stock suspension, and also just buy a 225 tire and take it to the shop theyll stretch it with no problem and your mom probably wont find out, unless shes like michelle rodriguez from fast and the furious or something. oh well i dont know about the front i think then u might need coils for a 9.5 inch just get stagggered set up period.
