'811 ECU. Sitting in my car right now, parked.

Idle hunting and shudder.

Too angry to post more.

Sat and recorded a minute or so of video. It loses the idle a few times and then catches it before the car stalls. In neutral. Which is a cute idea.

I'm just back from a business trip and leaving again next week. Looks like I'll be leaving my car with the dealer, who I'm sure will leave the thing friggin' filthy again, but whatever.

I'm seriously pissed though, because I was imagining the conversation I wanted to be having with my CSR a few days ago: manage my expectations -- is this really fixed, or are you going to get an angry phone call from me in a few months?

Well, looks like the car answered my question for me. Which is good, because I'm sure my CSR would have just told me everything is fine and dandy and fixed.

If I could actually GET the full purchase price back at this point, I would take it in a heartbeat. Just not worth it. Eff this car, eff Subaru, and especially, eff Subaru customer service.

Sorry to hear that. My opinion is that many of these engines are never going to be %100. My dealership considers my car fixed, but I do not. I absolutely do not like the idle dip with engine shudder because I have no way of knowing if the damn car is going to stall on me when I least expect it. This is NOT what I want in a car I have to daily drive.

Just curious, for those of you who had put that your problems were fixed, how long has it been, and has any other problems showed up? I'm really interested in getting the Frs but it seems a lot of the problems have been driving people crazy.

Two things:

> We're a vocal bunch but don't confuse that with the frequency of these problems. Having these issues come up appears to be rare.

> it's my personal judgement that once fixed most of the cars are staying that way (either mechanical or ECU fixes). Personally I had a follow up problem I suspect was due my oil being overfilled at the dealer. Once I resolved that everything's been ok...

The good:
The car idles steady.
They fixed the missing chips on front of car.
Car seems to run good overall.
Car now qualifies for the Lemon law in Ohio with 2 weeks to spare.

According to that invoice they replaced ALL 4 cam gear!!!
Even thou P0019 only indicates 1 gear.
And it didn't solve the problem it says.
Then what the hell did solve it? New ECU?

Just a skid light coming on and off whilst experiencing idle dipping, is that worthy of taking it to the shop?
