The Garage Thread

Making my return to the 86Club after taking a few months away. Purchased a house with an unfinished 3 car garage. Putting up some drywall over the weekend got me wanting to spiff up the place. Was thinking some members here have some interesting equipment, storage, or decoration ideas worth sharing to help me get some ideas on what to do with mine.

TLDR; Post pics of your garage or workspace. Equipment, decoration, plumbing, etc to help me get ideas on what to do with my garage.

If I had enough sweet YouTube cash I would totally buy a dealership and convert the sales area to living quarters and have the garage of my dreams.

I haven't done anything to our garage except paint the walls and ceiling so it looks finished.

However, staining/painting/epoxy the floor would be cool.

And if you have the money and height to do so, get a lift.

And then you can install an overhead compressed air system.

If you don't want to go the "shop" route, you can put up a TV and sound system, and have various posters of your liking up. I have a neighbor who built a bar to host block/personal parties, so if that's something you want to do instead of a "shop," it's another idea.

.

I did my floor with the epoxy from home depot. I pressure washed and acid etched to death, and waited until it was warm and still I have areas that look bad or have peeled years later. The only one I have ever seen that has lasted is my brothers. He hired a company that sanded the floor first.

I've epoxied (2 part) garage floors in CA, CT, MO and WA.

The only places I ever had it "come up" is where the car tires rested. A piece of vinyl tile takes care of that.

YES! I used to do stuff like that!

Well, I reckon that would depend upon what you want to use your three car garage for.

* parking car(s)?

* auto work (major or minor)?

* wood working?

* storage?

* man cave?

* other

My FRS doesn't fit in my garage and two of the walls have holes.

Would you call that unfinished?

Garage! You were lucky to 'ave a garage! We used to park in one room, all twenty-six of them, no furniture, 'alf the floor was missing, and they were all 'uddled together in one corner for fear of falling
