I'm sure since original document is just a translation of japanese documents.

Their MY16 means manufacturing year 2016 not model year 2016. So yours will have the old pump. Let me know if I'm wrong. :P

I'm waiting of the 17th or someone to confirm that they can swap it to the new 17 pump on my FRS also, since mines still less than a year old lol. Got my 16 around November give or take and I have the Crickets.

So i bought my 2016 at the beginning of June. I believe the manufacture date is one of the later ones. I Still get crickets however not to the extent some people are talking about. I found a lot had to do with the type of gas i put in. But in short...yeah still crickets.

I Bought my Hyperblue at the end of 2015, I'm not sure on the build date. I just ran out and confirmed it's the old style with the flowery top cap.

im hoping this fixes it for good. I've dealt with it on and off with my 2014. i think its related to gas, but even within the same station i've had changes with crickets, mild crickets, and no crickets.

We finally got the updated 2017 86 parts catalog late last week. Part number for the high pressure pump hasn't changed yet in the catalog. Once the first MY17 cars show up perhaps it will actually be different? Has anyone checked the 2017 BRZ catalog yet?

Noticed mine doing it a little more regularly. When I first got it, I noticed something cricket-like but it was only briefly and I didn't know if that was the cricket sound or not. Now it's a lot more constant and harder to mistake. So yeah. Crickets.

Started getting more noticeable around 6000-7000 miles.

The DENSO unit will most likely be 100% backwards compatible with older models. Because the 2017 will have 2 engines - Red Top/ Black Top.

I am sure they would use 1 fuel pump for both, so we can use the new 2017 pump on our older engines.

As of a couple of days ago, the part number for Toyota changed up to SU003-07326 for the pump, the newest part number I've seen yet. It's not listed in the parts catalog and there is no stock yet, but I assume that is the newer design.

Mine's not bad enough yet that I want to do anything about it.

I'll wait and see if the new one even fixes the problem. I wouldn't count on it just yet. A HCI swap didn't get rid of the torque dip! lol
