Haru and I are having a kinda creepy week. Can't remember if I told this story the other day..

A few days ago we were walking one of our usual routes through an adjacent neighborhood. Noticed a white Ford SUV parked on the side of the next street (basically at the T since it was a T-intersection) with yellow light bar on the roof (like a mall cop would have) but no markings other than random stickers. Two people inside. Driver had his arm out the window looking around.

They leave the spot, swing a u-turn, turn into the street we're still on, slowly pass us and give us a look.

They turn down the next side street behind us and I think that's it.

We turn onto the side street that leads to the main busy street, cross it, and head into the next adjacent neighborhood. Two blocks in is a primary/elementary school we usually pass by. I notice as we're walking into the small parking lot (I usually dump Haru's bag in the dumpster out front) that the white SUV is back, they're driving slowly, and then turning into the school lot right behind us, and the driver is staring at us.

So I got on the phone, acted like I was talking to someone while I stood with Haru at the end. After a few minutes of this, they started driving slowly again toward us, staring, and finally exited the lot and left down the side street leading to the school. Finally I didn't see them again.

Then today a little while ago we were walking down another busy street near home, and suddenly this lady in a black Honda CRV rolled her window down at the red light and kept screaming at us. But I couldn't really tell what she was saying. By the time I turned toward her to ask WTF she was yelling about, the light changed to green, she rolled her window up, and she zoomed off.

maybe check the local fb pages for lost/stolen dogs that could line up with haru's appearance? they're thinking he's stolen possibly?

it is a show dog breed, which tend to attract librarian-type crazy, which as ichi can attest to, is a whole other level of crazy above normal crazy...

No, most of the time I have backed into things, I had not been drinking - that's what makes it soo damn embarrassing -

First off, you're too damn young to not be able to tell whether or not you pulled up the same story more than once from your short term memory banks -

You told a similar story the other day, but, I can't remember for sure - but, I have an excuse. -

Second off, ask yourself if it's YOU or your DOG that is attracting the creepy people? Do an experiment, take the same route by yourself and see if anything happens.

Question, do you dress the same way on your walks? -

You might want to start if not.

Contrary to ol @Capt Spaulding's advice, I suggest that you NOT carry a sidearm. Why not? Because in this day in age, if they see you're armed they will shoot you dead and THEN take whatever they want. If you let them attack first, they will just pistol whip you, then take what they want.
