Agreed. I think overall we are in a MUCH better position to negotiate with all the information available to us now days. Websites such as Truecar.com, Edmunds TMV, etc will greatly help us out with saving as much as possible.

Also the fact that invoice pricing has leaked means its only a matter of time before large volume BRZ dealership realize the sales they can achieve by coming onto our forums and selling to us members @ invoice. This is easily seen over on NASIOC where big dealerships have very competitive prices for enthusiasts even for "limited" models such as the WRX and STi.

Since Im inclined to switch from the FRS to the BRZ Limited - I have an OTD number in mind. If the dealers near me can't match it, I have no problem waiting. I dont need the car right this second.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Why is everyone so happy to pay MSRP? The dealer's makin' bank off you if you pay sticker price!

I guess most people are "willing" to pay that price and find it resonable to be one of the first owners.

Not that bad.

If the BRZ was marked up everywhere and the Scion wasn't, I'd buy the FRS in a heartbeat.

As much as I really want one of these cars, I wouldn't pay a markup. I hope in 6 months the fervor dies down and we'll be able to get one at MSRP or less. I really don't want to have my current car go down the tubes and waste my money on a beater, or buy a Mustang, even though it's not what I really want.

So far 8.5% of voters would pay over MSRP. Well I guess if the dealers can sell 'em, go ahead. The rest of us won't put up with it, though.

I think I'm going to wait for the next model year. My RX-8 is holding up pretty well and haven't owed payments on it for awhile. I've started to come into more money recently too, so I may reasses my financial situation again in 2013.

I love the car, but have plenty of things to think about in my personal life right now.

The seven weeks it's been since I've ordered the car have been the longest weeks ever. It's like you ordered something awesome on Amazon and it's taking forever to be delivered... times a thousand.

I want the car, but too many expenses in my life right now (dental school, bought wife a new car); plus, kids are a few years away and wifey "wants" to always drive a coupe. Leaves me with hauling duties until I'm rich enough to afford this as a spare. :P

Unless temptation gets the better of me, I'm years away from getting one.
