Potential Purchase
So my plan was to wait out the winter and get a new FR-S in the spring but this deal seemed pretty nice, so I was considering it. My question is, should I be worried that it was inspected so much while it was driven ~25K in just one year?

First year of a new car - for every minor issue, those who have good relationships with dealers take it straight to the dealership, at least I do. I've been to the service department 6 times, but my car has never had anything mechanically wrong. Moisture in lenses, wind rush through the window seals, moisture forming between the door glass and door seal causing squeaking, etc. Mine has 16000 miles since March 6th (and i only live 2 miles from work)...nearly every weekend is a road trip.
Just providing some insight, but certainly up to you to make the call after checking out the car and reviewing all that for yourself |

Point taken, thanks. I guess it won't hurt test driving and having my mechanic look at it.

Looks like close to 30,000 miles if you read all the lines. It would have to be very (key word being very) cheap before I would consider it.

Do yourself a favor and wait for a 2014. Seriously. I know you get impatient and adrenaline rush thinking about it, but don't. I waited until late 2013 thinking I'd be fine and ended up wishing I'd stayed away from a first year model.
I seriously love my car but all the tiny little shit going wrong constantly drives me up the wall. It's stuff that's usually fixed by the 2nd year. |

For the safe side, wait for 2014 model. Although I haven't had any major issue, there are minor things that they can improve for the next year's batch.
Be patient, it'll be worth the wait. |

There are some engine failures out there. One recent post had ignition coils replaced preceding catastrophic engine failure. The carfax shows ignition coil replacement. I think you are justifiably concerned. I'd move on if it were me.

looks like normal stuff to me. The mileage isn't an issue...yeah he drove more than average but that factors into the price of the car.

Or they meant just wait on your purchase until you can pick up a 2014 you want at a price you can afford.
