Have you had the recall done? If you haven't, then don't. Otherwise your car may not make it to 245,002 miles.

I suggest you contact Toyota/Subaru and offer your car for "science", so they can do an autopsy to determine what they did RIGHT on that car.

You would donate your car, in exchange for a new Supra -

OK... that's the best news I've read on this forum in weeks. Thanks for posting. To echo another responder... was this one of the recall vehicles and did you have it done? Your purchase date was my manufacture date.

Hey @Tcoat, looks like @WorldRallyBlueBRZ is a couple of laps ahead of us, we need to pick up the pace!

hahaa. I was curious as to what Subaru would say if I showed them how many miles i have on this car. I'm pretty sure I may have the highest mileage BRZ in this country.

These miles went by quick. Doesn't help that the job I started 2 years ago is a 42 mile drive one way.

How has your paint and windshield held up in that period?

I am enjoying not have to drive all over the country twice a week anymore. For the first time in almost 15 years I am now putting a more normal average number of miles on a car.

I've had about that same length of commute since I've owned the car (05/2012) but it's typically not my weekend car so it rests a couple of days a week. If I drove it everywhere I went, I'd be pretty close to your mileage instead of around 140K

The paint has held up pretty good. but it is not perfect. But there are no major pain chips or anything flaking off. My windshield was replace about a year ago, due to a rock cracking it. But prior to that the windshield was fine.
