Is rebuilding the stage 1/2 turbo with a ball bearing a possibility?

Cant say for sure, but my 3rd and 4th started acting up, within a day i pretty much was lucky to get home. Pulled it off and bearings, spring and metal fell out.

I dont drive it much, or very hard. So no clue what caused it. Im guessing its just a failure point on the stock trans, as 4th is usually when i would really get into the boost, when i did. 1-3rd are kind of unusable at that power level due to traction loss.

Still more inside that i could hear rattling around.

Does any one on this forum have any issues with valve cover leaks? Mines leaking from a bolt near the valve cover gasket.

My first motor leaked pretty bad on both heads. The new motor now (running it NA at the moment) does not leak a drop. I don't know if it was just an issue with the motor (early MY2013) or because somehow I was pressurizing the crank case too much. I had a checkvalve, but who knows how effective that was.

So you replaced the whole motor because of the leak? How much was it

Roughly about 3k for the cost of the motor (salvage from a wrecked car) + a few random assorted gaskets/o-rings. Did all the work myself.

Guy quick question, which clutch do you recommend to get?

I have the old Exedy Stage 2 revision and I am tired of the locking issues.

I run the ACT: SB7-HDG6, this kit comes with the StreetLight FW (not the really light ProLight FW), Heavy Duty PP and Sprung 6 puck disk. I really like it a lot. I was worried that it would be harder to drive, but I feel like it is easier to drive than the organic disk.

Thanks!
I will check and someone else told me about that one too

I run that same ACT clutch and it's the best out of 5 clutches I've had, considering Exedy Stg. 2 lockout issues, pedal feel among other clutches, engagement, etc.

Excellent, thanks!

I'm just pissed off of the Exedy Stg2 at this point and want to get rid of it ASAP.

Your posts about the the ACT 6 puck clutch and its ability to hold the power/torque that you are putting out are one of the main reasons why I went with this kit. Thanks!
