I use a GoPro Hero 3 with suction cup window mount, the GoPro external mic adapter with a 6 foot 3.5mm stereo male to female extension cord and a cheap stereo mic clipped inside the trunk. Pretty simple setup, honestly.

Thanks! With the right offset using the spacers I don't mind them at all. The stock tires are hilarious on the street with the extra power to break them loose. They're quieter and better in bad weather, too. Hoping to get the track tires I've been waiting on purchased and mounted on my 17x9's soon.

And on the back of that Amazon and eBay have just had orders placed. Did see one of the other chaps on here using a handlebar mount on the front tow hook for some pretty good looking footage too, so think I'll give that a go when I'm home

Fair enough, different horses for different courses. I need to order some tyres for my own 17x9's when I go back, plus install the puntload of goodies from FT86 speedfactory as well.. Should burn an afternoon away... What tyre choice do you use on the 17x9's? Do you run an exclusive track setup on those and just travel on the stocks or do they serve a track and road function?

Last season I ran 245/40/17 Bridgestone RE-11A's and they fared well in both wet and dry conditions and took the heat of track abuse pretty well.

I'm waiting for the new Maxxis Victra VR-1's to release this month and I'll grab a set of those for this season, probably in the same size.

I run the stock wheels and tires as needed due to weather conditions or when I know I'm taking a long hiatus from the track.

The parts collection grows.

I'll be taking the car to a shop soon to have all the Whiteline parts installed. I'll also let the shop install the ARP extended wheel studs, Muteki open lugs and have them press out the studs of my bolt-on spacers to convert them to slip-on for easy wheel swaps from track to street. The brake caliper press should make pad swaps just as easy. Due to the special tools needed and inevitable frustrations and an alignment being required I'll let the pros handle this job for once.

Apparently the Maxxis VR-1 releases on their website on March 28th so I'll try to order 255/40/17 then and get them mounted and balanced at the same time the suspension work is done so I can get it aligned immediately after.

Stay tuned.

Better looking and better performing. There's more surface area in both the diffuser itself and the addition of the suspension covers, so more inherent drag reduction at speed. I have nothing against DWL but I trust the engineering and testing that go into Velox products and the data they publish to prove their functionality. I understand that DWL had some CFD testing done to their diffuser as well and I support that data as being valid, however, that testing was done by someone who's now involved with Velox, who are now focused on making superior aero products.

What Whiteline parts are you installing? Mostly quality of life improvements, or looking for specific adjustments to the car?

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the bump steer/roll center correction, as we have essentially identical suspension setups now.

I wonder what they mean by "special care" when storing near freezing temps. I've only recently bothered storing my summer tires inside but I never had any noticeable loss in performance even after driving all winter on summer tires in near 0 degree Fahrenheit temps (when summer rolled back around I mean, they were obviously worthless in cold temps, lol).

Certain compounds can get super hard and crack all the way through the treads if driven in freezing temps and not stored properly.

Sure, though that's somewhat rare with 200TW tires. I just don't see where Maxxis says how to treat them "properly". If they include some care instructions with the tires would you mind posting them up?

I'm VERY excited to hear your review on these things. From the initial impressions I've heard they should be the hot ticket for your use.

You guys get all the good tyres. Not many alternatives to the AD08R here in the UK. Something about having to use recycled oil...
