LOL... yes the avatar pics are plasti-dipped stockers.
Here's the payoff: XXR 530's in gold 17x8.25 +35 offset BFG gForce Sport COMP2 in 245/40-17 Stock springs for now... got a set of RCE Yellows sitting in my living room though. Joe, thanks a bunch... I love these wheels. And thanks for everyone who posted pics and information... you guys helped me to make some good choices. I'll post some pics once the RCE Yellows go on... but these actually don't look that bad at stock ride height.

Yeah get those caps painted black and those springs on for sure. Very functional setup that still looks great!

Actually I was going to leave the center caps off for now, but the installer put them on for me. I think they would look good in black, gold would be hard to match. I was hoping to find some good Subaru stickers to put on them.

Hey Guys,
I'd like your advice on my XXR setup. I'm running 530s, 18x8.75 +33 all round, with 235/40/18 tyres. While the rears are fairly flush, the fronts do poke a bit. I'm lowered 1" on the Eibach Pro Kit and don't want to go any lower or run any camber. Do you think if I purchased a new pair for the front in 18x7.5 with a 38 offset that it would solve the poke? This way, I'd have a staggered setup 18x8.75 / 18x7.5. I have a set of Michelin PSS in 225/40 and 255/35 on standby so it looks like everything will fall in place. @JoeBoxer, is the concave on the 7.5 the same as on the 8.75? |

Not sure if camber is what I'd go for, but going off this pic, would you say -1.5 adjustment would fix this poke? |

I think it should, but depending on your tires, they may stick out a tiny bit. I know a few other people are running oem camber bolts with your set up that seem to make it flush, hopefully they can chime in. Running a little camber should be okay as long as it is not a tremendous amount.

Anyone know what size center caps the XXR's take in inches or mm?
I'm not a big fan of the shape of mine so I was going to look for something with a bit lower profile that I could put one of those domed stickers from eBay on.

I'll post some pics of her after I get some time to have her washed, but here's a question for you guys running XXR's.
If you're running 18 x 8.75 ET 33 with 225/40/18 like I am you'll notice that there is a tiny bit of stretch to the tires on the wheels. Basically, there's no protection of the rim by the tires due to the small amount of stretch. Have any of you guys had any problems/issues with taking your car to a car wash? Most car washes, whether hand wash or machine wash, use those rails to pull the car through the wash line. I'm a little worried that the rail will scratch up my wheels. Any input/advice on this? BTW, the this car really needs better tires. The tires bring the car alive. If I thought the car handled well before, well with the new shoes the car feels more planted than planted. Almost to the point you have to work to get the car to break traction. It's awesome!
