You mean more than 3 or 3 and above? I'm on the 3 bar.

Sounds like a whistle - is that what you're talking about? Is it definitely a pulley or is it possibly air being sucked through the intake or through the blower or some other part of the system? Whatever it is, mine definitely does not have that characteristic.

The factory bolt and washer are not to be reused. A supplied bolt is used in place of the factory bolt and washer.

Ok thanks for clarifying, any opinion on the pulley squeak?

Nothing specific. Have you pulled that washer back off to see if that was the culprit? If it touches any rotational part of the idler, that could certainly be making the noise.

Does the car have to be moving to reproduce the sound?
I've heard my fair share of bad/failing pulleys, from the video it doesn't sound like a pulley to me....

If the noise is able to be heard while stationary with the engine @ speed, it shouldn't be too hard to find out whats making the noise... if it doesn't, then my vote would be a loose bolt somewhere allowing metal/metal movement/contact

Where in Chicago are you? I wouldn't mind helping diagnose the problem

I never put that washer on. But always wondered why it did not need it.
Then saw Rallys install where they used it and wondered if others had.

I am pulling the airbox out and de-tensioning the belt Saturday at the shop. Checking everything. When the car gets hot enough I can get the noise idle barely but, its much easier under load. If I can't figure it out calling Vortech on this one.
@Brian@Vortech can you all do us and future owners a great service and get engineering to publish the proper TQ specs for all the bolts?

I asked Brian for the torque specs back when I did my install - this is what he shared with me:

2x 5/16-18 on top = 13-16 ft-lb
5/16 x 5 with nut = 13-16 ft-lb
3/8-16 to s/c plate =22-28 ft-lb
OEM pivot = 13-16 ft-lb
OEM long = 13-16 ft-lb

Silly question, but is it safe for DDing?

I heard NA subie motors hate boost.

I really wanna avoid all the headaches I had modding/tuning/dealing with sh!t breaking on the X...

I know thats part of the mod game, but i want a safe plug and play sleeper kit. You'll have my business if that's the case.
