My passenger side window did this as well. There's a chance it may have been slightly wet however.

After a few minutes it stopped. Really loud though. Had me worried someone had closed the door with the window and done some damage.

Yep same thing when wet. Lets out a horrible squeal. But I have to ask, is this normal for most cars? It's never happened to any other car I've driven before but it seems like there are a few people here who are having this problem.

Specific to our car that can be fixed or something we just have to deal with?

Mine started this in the rain this weekend. I can see where the rubber on the door sill, right at the curve to the front pillar starts, it pinches the rubber and pulls it away from the door frame.

Mine squeaks when it gets dirty... Never squeaks when it's super clean.
Now, I obsess over keeping my windows clean; Which isn't necessarily a bad thing?

When I find time, I'll try the rubber stuff and report back on how it turns out.

Any chance all of you guys have applied opti-coat to the window trim? I never noticed this until today, and it's the first time I've used the windows since opti-coat. It's a terrible squeal though, thinking I'll have to go to the dealership to have it checked out, hopefully there is a fix like MontrealFRS said.

Is the rubber trim deformed from the constant pinching? It is on mine now. I mentioned it to the dealer who stated that it was normal.

My driver's side window makes a pretty awful squeak when going up past the 1/4 mark. Probably going to go to the dealer for this and I think I heard crickets today.

Mine does as well, but usually only if the window is wet, which of course is pretty much every morning.

I am experiencing this as well. At first I didn't think to much about the squeek, but upon further investigation found the following:

Drivers side window seem to contact a lot more of the rubber compared to passager side.

This is the view from inside of the car (The gap varies in size, and is a lot larger right after the window meets the seal. Photo was taken after closing the door for a couple of minutes.)

Hoping this doesn't get worse...

One thing I have noticed, the rubber gets rolled no matter what, it only squeaks when wet.
