@NotEric6 @FT-86 SpeedFactory hey guys, I ordered the diffuser through your partner up here in Canada and had a bent strake (+chip on that strake) and a big dent by the leading edge near the diff cutout. After reading the thread here, it occurred to me that I received the V1 packaging as opposed to V2 despite ordering just a couple weeks ago.

I was able to use some simple tools (i.e. hammer + wooden block haha) to get it back into decent shape (but far from perfect) but I'm fairly irked that this happened to something brand new.

I'm sorry to hear about your shipping issue. You are going to want to e-mail FT-86 SpeedFactory directly as forum notifications can get lost quite easily. They have made it right in the past, and I have no doubt that they will continue to do so in the future as shipping these large units inevitably will result in some issues along the way. I'm sure they would appreciate it if you send some photos to show them how they can improve packaging in those areas.

I appreciate your patience in this matter and apologize for the "irk" feeling.

@NotEric6 thanks, will do - I think they did improve packaging to resolve but somehow I got the packaging from the first version which doesn't have as much support :/

There simply is not any "V1" packaging being done for shipment. After the first couple issues any and all diffusers that leave us to anyone; whether it is an end user or a reseller, they all get double boxed and padded inside of that double box. If someone changes the packaging or takes it out of this secure shell to ship a second time than that is their call. But I can 200% guarantee no diffuser has left our building in months now without them being double boxed. This process has been done for months now.

Really want to get to the bottom of this, love the product, love your company!

They still come in that original box, but we box them inside of a box. If that makes sense.

Best way to describe it is Original Box + 1" to 1.5" cardboard/foam padding all sides + inside another box that is thicker with more edge crush test and is side load.

I know where was some issues with is fitting over the nameless axleback exhaust as it was rubbing on the muffler passenger side, has this issue been fixed? It says on the website that nameless is a confirmed fitment but just curious what the say is on this issue now.

Thank you

Yes, I believe it has been as it was a very slight rub on our initial release unit. We then added an additional 1/4" of downward allowance.

We finally got the trans tunnel cover cut out and test fit. These will reduce under body drag and can be used with or without JDM under panels. It requires drilling (4) pre-existing holes 63 thou larger for rivet nuts to be installed.

Currently we will utilize spacers to drop the entire plate down lower for various exhaust fitment. If there are other ideas on how to fit various exhausts that sit significantly lower than OEM, we would like to hear these ideas out though. The more of a single design we can produce, the less the end part will be. We have confirmed mounting points which is a great start though.

We plan to coat these in a durable black powder coat like the diffusers. We also plan to continue our way further backwards and tying this into our rear diff/suspension covers if all goes well. Enjoy the pictures.

Thanks,
Eric
