To be honest, while I did attend prom, I hated it. There were no slow dancing songs (or just good music), all grinding rap/hip hop shit. I was expecting a more "romantic" feel, if you get my drift. But what should I have expected from a free DJ?

I should have listened to others (adults and like) and skipped prom and brought my date and friends elsewhere to do our own thing. I felt bad for them... Anyhoo to answer your question, I say go there to take pictures, dance to a few songs, then bail. Do your own thing that you and your date will like. Just my honest thoughts.

Not sure how old you are, but that's basically how all the school dances are in most public schools from at least when I was in middle/high school. I'm guessing probably like that many years before as well.

I'm not too hip on "popular" music so it's pretty "meh" for me.

My best friend at the time was 18 - and he was at least a dork, so it never felt weird to us.

My date was already 18, so I didn't tell my mom about anything till after I turned 18 just in case, lol.

I definitely recommend that parents don't go out of town like mine did during the weekend of prom, though...

Yeah, I'm noticing a lot of ppl are finding it randomly in the stores. I would of expected them to be all sold out in first day... but guess not.
