Seems to me its the owners fault for continuing to drive it knowingly on 14 / 15 afr's. You dynoed the car seeing the reaults of the dyno wideband, but you continued to drive it spriritedly as you stated in your post. Owner blew his own motor.

The car actually blew up I want to say 2-3 weeks after that dyno. After the dyno I attempted to contact the tuner and drive rationally at the same time. I made it a few tanks of gas and the engine blew. I don't recall going on any spirited drives after the dyno was done. I was considering lowering the boost level via a 3.33" pulley at that time as it made more power than I was expecting and I was uncomfortable with the AFR's. I talked to Toni and he said that the tailpipe AFR was skewed and that my fuel trims were nothing to worry about. I did however launch the car screwing around the night it blew up... and sure that was my fault. But I figured I had already done 12,000 miles on this tune at this extreme AFR level and I had just received my new clutch and scheduled to install it 3 days later. I figured I had never tried launching it off the line before and gave it a whirl thinking "well it lasted this long and he keeps saying its fine". That probably wasn't the most rational thing to do. But that 1 launch vs the hundreds if not thousands of redlines I hit during the other 12,000 miles were the real killer. That last 2 second launch was just the nail in the coffin at that point.

Like I said this was the condensed addition. I had a ton of screenshots of maps prepped, dates, emails, screenshots of texts, etc.

The worse part was this wasn't an etune. I mean it started as one... But I flew him out to tune it!

I'm sorry man.. I dropped off my car today for tune at a local place - I said hell no to remote tunes with Toni.
You know.. I had bought into a EcuTek license from toni via someone in the local 86/BRZ group organising a group buy. I had to get rid of toni's crappy canned tune to flash the car back to stock(so I can run a different tuning software from a LOCAL tuner), and the car actually ran better than the tune I was sent.

Yeah they aren't the fastest but I have always been pleased with their work. I have taken my single turbo 3000gt there tuned with emanage ultimate, EVO 8 tuned with oft and 300zx tuned with an AFC neo. All ran perfect. Their turn around time is disappointing though.

i feel even better about switching tunes after only one map from him now.

Nelsmar, i'm really sorry you had to go through this, but I am glad that it's someone who could/would post the whole story. Wish it hadn't come to that, and i'm more than willing to bet that toni won't accept responsibility and do what he can to help.

however, i'm now tempted to send you my logs when i have anyone tune my car, so you can verify.

Visconti got banned for what? Arguing in other vendors threads and having people skills of a sheet of sandpaper?

Toni/doyen has a clear documented history of scamming over many years, platforms and names and is still here? Even after clearly shitting on more than a few members (everyone but lexus?)

Maybe he just gives a great handie? Did he at any point offer a handie nelsmar? If so why didn't you take it?
