2016 BRZ Sport-tech package

I'll probably get one of these after a test drive.
The package is great except for one thing...the rear spoiler. I'm not a fan and I'd like to remove it. It appears to be an option on the base package so my question is, how does it attach to the trunk lid?

If it has already the rear spoiler, then you have to change the complete trunk lid. There are too many holes for the spoiler. Here is a photo of the change:

I wasn't a fan of the spoiler until I saw it in person. Then it grew on me.

Have you checked out the various photo galleries available on the forums? They helped me quite a bit.

Personally I think the spoiler looks great.

Same here. I was anti spoiler for sure but now I like it. It is subtle and actually functional.

Just so you don't think that the spoiler may be for everyone: I was anti-spoiler, saw it in person, still hate it.

I was anti-spoiler and removed it. I cannot say that the spoiler is sooo bad and it helps a little in very high speeds. However, my main issue was that it ruined the shape of the car. I liked more the flow of the body without the spoiler. Another thing is that you need to remove it if you want to install the STI wing. Nice pics here. I hope to install the wing some day.

Update:
I solved the problem by getting an FRS. Backup cam included with the 2016s was an added bonus.
