If you get crickets.
There's no need to fear.
If you don't wanna to hear them.
Just stand in the rear.

I hear them at drive throughs
Or at the gas pumps.
Exhaust is much louder.
And the rattles from bumps.
LOL, im so used to the crickets that if i dont hear them, i fear that there is something wrong with my car...

I guess just to be clear, I'm not even 100% sure I had "Crickets". I primarily used it as an opportunity to get a zeroed out fuel pump before the warranty ran out. I guess I had enough of them the service manager was willing to replace it under the TSB.

Toyota parts catalog hasn't been updated with a new part number yet, so if it is going to be included in any 2016MY cars, it's likely going to be very late production (I would think the last month or so, these cars likely haven't been built yet and/or are just coming off the production line. I wouldn't expect anyone who actually has a car in their possession to have the updated pump as of yet).

Nice - that's what my eventual plan was as well.

The 16 production wrapped up in May (someplace on here is an official statement) so if the 16s don't have them by now they are never going to.

Ordered my 2016 in the beginning of April and took delivery the 2nd week of May I believe. I have the crickets on and off. I'll check the pump later today.

Yes, I seem to recall something about that as well, though that may have just been North American production possibly? The 2017 changes document was global, so perhaps they are still producing 2016's for some other markets?

2/16 build date, my fuel pump has a metal cover over it, I didn't take it off to see what pump is under. I got crickets after fueling up at Wawa once, but they never came back after that week.

Calling all 2016 Owners! Next-Generation Fuel Pump: Crickets?

The original document is translated from japanese so This is Asia we are talking about so.. I would assume by 2016 it means the cars that's actually build this year & rolling changes as they build.

Check the build date on your car.

That being said my car is cricket free if I use chevron.... & go crazy with shell...
(& No crickets with Costco too.....)

My 2016 Limited has a build date of 12/15'

I heard crickets for the FIRST time this week @ 725 miles. The next day; no crickets. Too lazy to look at fuel pump.
