Coming from a college grad... whatever is cheaper

Whichever is less expensive for you.

I don't think most employers give a rip whether you graduated from a major California college or a major Washington college.

What the others said, whichever is cheaper. Will you be paying your own way, getting help from parents, or some other method?

Definitely state school. Stay at home and mooch off of your parents if you can. Student loans are evil.

After living in the hot and humid south for pretty much all my life I've given it some serious thought on moving to the PNW as well, especially since I'm one of those strange folk that like rainy days.

If that ever comes to pass, then it'd be Washington State. I'll take a sales tax over income tax anyday of the week.

Funny side note:. I think Nashville was found to be the biggest hipster hot spot outside of the PNW, so guess it wouldn't be too much of a change for me in that regard.

On the newer cars, they just plug into the OBDII port and take a reading, with the car running.

I've never had them look under the hood or under the car.

Do they not measure at the exhaust pipe?

So hypothetically, if I had a catless header but my tune turned the P0420 code off, they'd be fine with it?

This is pretty much what I'm looking for. Also, anyone know about the concealed carry laws on the area? How hard is it to get a permit etc?

Noooooooo!!!!
Don't move here. It sucks. Sea level is rising. Exploding mountains. Firestorms. Asteroids.

Lesser Seattle

Cars only get tested in Clark, King, Pierce, Snohomish and Spokane counties.
If your mailing address is outside of those, there is no testing required.

Wikipedia says

Open carry is lawful in Washington without any permit. Open carry of a loaded handgun in a vehicle is legal only with a concealed pistol license. Open carry of a loaded long gun in a vehicle is illegal, regardless of CPL possession.
