I see you are using the dynojet numbers. The numbers we got last night with Toma are even better. Stock HP 165 and boosted 207.

Stock torque in the dip 105.... Boosted 190

Very cool - if anything I just wanted to show what this thing really was all about - peak gains are darned good, but just look at those percentages between 3000 and 5500 rpm!

On the dynojet we ran all boosted runs...removed the compressor and installed the stock intake. ~ 5 mins apart.

Keeping in mind the dynojet tq300 compressor numbers were untuned and after last night we added a lot more in the mid range and top end in relation to the baseline

Engaged the ESC @ 2000 rpm and the AFR went to 11.2. As I passed 4000 I saw it climb to 11.8. At 5000 it was at 12.2 and it stayed there until redline. I did several similar runs and got the same result.

I don't consider these too rich. It is my understanding that the target AFR at WOT (boosted) is ~12.0.

Under normal load my AFR's are running 14.5 to 14.7.
You're better off than me then. My bottom end drops out of the narrowband o2 range on the onset of boost and after last night it climbs out at about 4200 rpm that's why my tq numbers just up so much there. Imagine if I could get leaner numbers before 4000 with this comp!

.
I'm not a pro by any means but I've always aimed for mid 11's. 12 point anything would make me a bit nervous.

Not in this engine it shouldn't. All the boost turbos and supers run 12.5.

I agree I used to be scared because I come from a STI where rich was good and lean was death.

So is not the case with the fa20

What AFR's are you running?

I have to tell you, Moto-Mike didn't struggle at all dialing in my AFR's. In my 2 hour tune session he spent 75% of the time working on and eliminating knock. I was amazed how quickly he was able to dial the ESC in. This was probably a combination of his experience tuning boosted FA20's and his tools (ECUtek).

Currently 10.5 below 4000 and 12.5 above.

Toma was not able to get the low end Afr to come up.

Don't get me wrong I still make great torque 175(3000) on dyno dynamics but if we could dial in the afrs down low I think it would be even better.

The larger charger sees 160g/s down low 3000 to 3300 which is the same as it sees by the time it makes it up to 7000 rpm.

Is that value from the ECU? Given how overwhelmed the MAF is at low rpm/high boost I don't think the value can be trusted.

I haven't paid much attention to grams/second, but I'll make a point to observe and I'll report back.

So exactly what setup made that latest dyno graph? Really interested again!

4.5 kW charger, still in development, on a dyno dynamics.

The car is completely stock except a brzedit tune and the ESC.

The 4.5kw one is proving hard to tune so we are working through that right now.

The stock exhaust really holds back this charger on the extreme top end however. Lots more testing required on the 4.5kw

That's what we though but Toma didn't think it was a false reading because bit was a smooth curve.

Let me know what you get from 2k to redline.
