Well going by that reasoning I would think that about 60% of this forum is screwed!

Do people really ruin clutches learning how to drive stick? It isn't rocket surgery.

I don't think she would be my wife if she couldn't drive stick... That being said, she drives it just fine and has never scraped the front.. She doesn't necessarily "like" driving it and doesn't very often, but I'm glad that she can.

I have heard that rocket surgery is very difficult. Near impossible! :p

No - even somebody who has absolutely no sensitivity in their foot and slips the clutch constantly while they are learning isn't going to ruin the clutch. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people who complain about their wife or girlfriend ruining their clutch during the 200 miles it took them to get it down are just using it as a scapegoat for their last 40,000 miles of beating the piss out of their clutch.

When you are learning clutch sensitivity, you are doing 4 mph at 800rpm in a parking lot - you can be doing that for like 2 hours straight and it isn't going to do any damage at all.

I let her drive once. She said she could drive stick, We were stuck at a traffic light for 3 cycles before I said: Let me drive.

I laughed my ass off. The 30 or so cars behind us were not amused though :P

My wife is too worried about dinging the car to want to drive it...she has driven it though. She loves riding in it though with me driving!

My wife drove once, she made it to the edge of the parking lot and was like "Nope I can't do it, I'm going to wreck your baby." Since then she refuses to drive it. I've also lowered and boosted it so that probably is a factor.

She does have a massive smile when riding in it though. Loves getting a bit sideways.

Ya, you guys really need to learn "railroad tracks".
the "it's too low" doesn't hurt either.
