So, I got the call 6/1, raced to the dealer after work. My wife showed up an hour or so later with my son. First time she was seeing the car. It got a lot of attention from other car shoppers as well as I was sitting in it. Wife looks in the back seat "it's small!" "Too late!" I said, "Already signed the paperwork!".

She loves the car, but is quite jealous. She doesn't drive stick, so she can never take it out - though enjoys when we all pile in to go somewhere.

I keep waiting for her to make me sell one of my other cars, but recently when I brought up the idea, she balked "you're not going to sell any of your cars, who are you kidding?". Damn, after 15 years, the woman knows me!

(in the past, I've taken my wife with me to EVERY car I've bought, new or used. Each time though she has the same reaction "What - you're buying it? I thought we were just looking?!!". My 3 year old son is already pulling that angle at Target: "Can we go to the toy section, I just want to look.". I don't think we've gotten him out of there without something in his hand each time. It's in the genes - how can I complain?! )

you sir sound like you have a great relationship and your son seems cool as hell should try to find him a pedal toy FRS/BRZ to be like is pops

Thankfully my significant other is a car person (she has driven an R8 at a track event) and so she loves this car. Although she wasn't too keen on the Miata my other option, she did support me though.

LOL, easiest solution to this problem...teach your woman how to drive the car. They'll get hooked just as quickly as we did

GT86 Ad with wife leaving the husband

Not sure if this was posted here already, but here it is, quite a sad ad but very entertaining nonetheless.

Mmm, wish I didn't cringe at the thought of the exterior after drifting dirt roads. I need a second FR-S
