Saw Chris Harris video last night and it looks like this car will be blisteringly fast, the celebs are also getting theirs.

Keanu Reeves Drives 488 GTB

He has been known to be a car and motorcycle guy.

From the article:
It’s not just the specifics of any Prancing Horse that stand out, but also the way Ferrari handles its customers. They have a special something put aside for every single sportscar buyer; it’s a culture they build around fast, luxury and classy autos. That is why when a Hollywood A-lister like Keanu Reeves visits the Italians’ headquarter he’ll spend the day.

I like that it's not a track only, set-to-kill, sports car. Also, I love the way it looks. Can't wait to see the Spider. Or for this to face off with a 675LT.

I think the lines of the car and noise it makes is fantastic. Not Ferrari V12 fantastic, but pretty freakin good. Really goes to show that a well thought out and executed forced induction power plant can be as responsive as a naturally aspirated motor. The fact that you get that extreme but well balanced midrange punch that doesn't upset the chassis is such an added bonus.

Now to start listing my organs for sale, rack up as much loan debt as I can, knocking over some stores so I can get a down payment on one.

I love everything about it. Home run for Ferrari in my opinion.

No kidding, I just found out from the recent issue of Cycle World that he owns his own motorcycle company, Arch. Cool bike, kind of a high end American sport-cruiser.

Love watching Chris Harris vids, but I'm still amazed he's allowed in Modena after That One Rant. We're all better off that he is though.

Harry Metcalfe Reviews Ferrari's Turbo'd 488 GTB

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUg_HQzvHGU"]Ferrari 488 GTB drive review - YouTube[/ame]

Quote:
Almost everything there is to say about the Ferrari 488 GTB has been said in the multitude of drive tests, reviews and evaluations. Heck, even James May did it. But somehow, Harry Metcalfe always manages to find something intriguing and new to talk about, even when it’s about the “entry-level” supercar.

Test driving Ferrari’s first turbocharged mid-engine since the F40 must be interesting, especially if you’re used to the Italian car manufacturer’s naturally aspirated machines that (probably) shatter your eardrums while going up the obscenely high rev limiter, right? Well, Metcalfe sure think so, although he mentions that any downside of forced induction is virtually non-existent in the 488GTB.

Essentially, this stunning machine is nothing more than a 458 Italia with a little madness sprinkled on the side to keep it relevant in the fast-pacing world of motoring. That said, expect the 488GTB to have the same attributes as the outgoing model, and then some – all wrapped in a neat, high-performance package.

So, after establishing – like many others before him – that the turbocharged 488 is just as nice to drive like the old model (or any other Ferrari for that matter), Metcalfe goes into further detail regarding the car’s visual and mechanical characteristics.

But you know what; we won’t say another word, and let instead Mr. Metcalfe handle the in-depth look of the automobile.

Ferrari 488 Spider Launched In London At VIP Event

Quote:
Ferrari's "affair" with open-top mid-engined cars started with the targa version of the 308 GTB, which ultimately resulted in the full convertible Spider architecture.

Its latest iteration, the 488 Spider, was launched in the UK at an exclusive event in a central London venue.

Ferrari says that this is the most powerful and innovative Spider it has ever built and it has the numbers to back it up. We're talking 670 PS, a top speed of 325 km/h (203 mph), and 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds flat with the help of a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission.

The London event brought together lots of Ferrari clients as well as VIPs, with guests from the fashion, arts and creative communities. Those in attendance were able to experience first-hand the unique "Tailor-Made" service available to customers - an atelier of the highest standards of craftsmanship and personalization that allows for luxurious fabrics and color combinations.
