I'm jealous. Please share some in-car video of Red Star.

I saw somewhere that they'll be having drags on the pit straight, so I'm not sure what part of the track they'll use for a road course, but there are many options there, and they can use the track either clockwise or anti-clockwise.

No specific place, but we should all be in the main front row of pits, so just wander through the pits and look for the folks with big smiles on their dials - they're the 86'ers

I've never been big on timing laps and taking videos.
I don't need a clock to tell me that I'm having fun, and I'm not really competitive by nature.
And I'm concerned that at my age (61), my reactions aren't quick enough.

But...
I've recently started taking video of every track session, and I'm now looking at my lap times.
I think I've had enough practice and seat time (600+ laps) to set some goals, and push the bubble a bit.
I'm not very familiar with Zwartkops (and it scares me somewhat), but I have been there a bit, so...

My goal for Sunday at Zwartkops is to get a video of a lap better than 1m18.4 which will put me ahead of both of these videos on YouTube
- Stillen Supercharged Nissan 350Z (1m18.4)
- Ferrari 360 - (1m18.5)

If it's dry of course...
If I make it or not, I'll post my best lap.

I've got a passenger this weekend which will make it more difficult, but I believe that I can get into the 1m17's if I'm brave enough and don't do anything stoopid.

I'm pretty sure Jacques has done a 1.12 in the RGM car and that was a while ago. He's there on Sunday so I'll ask. He is a complete psycho though, check how much kerb he takes. I doubt any normal "owner" would be too keen on that!

Had an awesome time at Zwartkops today! Thanks to everyone who took the time to chat to us and make us feel welcome. Huge thanks especially to Fish Eagle, Colin and to Rob Green of RGM. Rob even arranged for Jacques to drive my softness round the track for a couple of laps - managed a not too shabby 1m 15s.

Are you the dark grey without the rear wing? Please post some pics - I'd love to see what you bros got up to on the track ! I just hit the skidpan for today. If anyone at the skidpan has photos / vids, I'd also appreciate that!

Just a huge shoutout to all the 86 owners who I met today. I can't remember most of your names (sorry!), but you are a friendly bunch . Not sure how you deal with "anonymity" around here, but I'm the young guy with the dark grey + wing + stock wheels. Also, a shoutout to the OP, because this thread did indeed "raise awareness" for me

You shoulda popped up to the pits to say hi - several 86's at the main track today.
