I'm one of those people that hates spoilers and generally don't go out of my way to watch trailers for new movies. Likewise I don't care what opinion someone has on a movie and simply go in and watch it without any preconceptions and with an open mind. Perhaps I'm simple but, more often than not, I enjoy just about every movie I see. On a side note the latest Star Wars is the best of the franchise for reasons.

Cars are kinda the same for me. I reserve any judgment after having driven them and form my own opinion. I was on holiday in Korea a few months back. Their cars (large proportion of Kia's and Hyundai's naturally) look clean and modern. The Genesis sedan especially looks really sharp.

My family has owned a Hyundai Sonata and a Kia Magentis, both medium sized cars and both were durable and got the important stuff right, even if quality of materials were a bit lacking. The family as a whole really loved those cars and were (in the end) sorry to see them go.

Having experienced those cars earlier in my life I think they painted the twins in a different light. Yes the materials are perhaps not the best, but they got the important things right. To me the interior is more than acceptable and I love the red stitching along with the rubber top dash, small leather inserts on door panels and in general all the touch points feel nice. I think our interiors will wear well into the future. Even the part leather seats I got with my BRZ look show room new a year and a half later, along with the rest of the interior.

I think the twins are great myself. Though I am slowly moding my own, its not so much a case of wanting to fix something I see as being wrong, but also to simply experience what sort of a change a certain mod will bring to way the car feels.

Addressing the OP's point, some people whine to simply down play a expensive purchase. To help mitigate peoples opinions away from jealously over an indulgent purchase they might say oh it's nice but I don't like this about it and that's a pain, the repayments are killing me and oh your car is probably better at doing simple everyday things like etc etc.
