People pay $1500+ for a full exhaust that nets them a few hp (that the ecu then takes back if you don't spend another $600-$900 on a tune). They buy intakes that can amount to a net loss for $300+.

If this thing makes 10hp it'll be worth it by those standards.

I've been watching this thread since it started, and from what I can see this should be a viable option for people looking for a mild safe boost in low end torque. This is effectively no different than a dry shot of nitrous. Considering everyone on here hated so hard on the wet nitrous kit from NX Express I expect those same people to be even more in disbelief about an electric supercharger. I laugh at the people saying that this is an inefficient way to make power... If you compare this to a centrifugal supercharger there is literally no difference. Why? Because they both are a mechanically driven compressor. One loads the motor via a drive belt and gear setup, while the other potentially just loads the motor via the alternator. If a centrifugal can make power then this setup can make power. I'm willing to bet that for the price of a centrifugal kit for this car a person could create an electric supercharger that would make just as much HP, but it would actually be capable of making massive torque down low unlike a centrifugal.

Seriously people open your minds, and stop bashing everything just because you think it's stupid or you wouldn't do it! This forum is becoming so useless because every thread is full of 30 pages of bashing instead of useful information.

Best of luck with this setup, and I am definitely in for results.

I don't doubt whether the idea is feasible. It's not just feasible, it's inevitable. The day will come that this is the best way to do FI. Progression in battery and motor technology relative to that of conventional FI technologies clearly suggests that. I'm well aware that this isn't the end goal. This is a step towards something that will one day make what we use now look ancient and compromised.

It's the onward march of technology, get on the bus. If this works at all it's a solid proof of concept. All that's left to do then is let the battery nerds catch up.

HELL YEAH!!!!! I just ran this thing through the ringers. We ran it a bunch. Ill let Fenton post the graphs. But I think its safe to say there's a new game in town.

Needs a bit of tlc in the tune. Going to wot at 2000 rpm the car get grumpy but at 3000 it only throws the map code but runs good otherwise.

So stock tune it ran fine wot above 3000 and its a torque beast. Rob was here and there are some tweeks he will make and we will throw a basic tune at it. But the numbers were impressive for a 'electric supercharger' that many laugh at.

I swept it at about 400 rpm per second. Dyno is an analog dynodynamics 450 2wd.

So disabled until 3000 rpm would be a good thing. Easier to tune and a lot less likely to hurt something with a sudden low rpm torque increase.

Have you thought about doubling the amount of batteries so you can get more usage; or do you think the controller couldn't handle charging more batteries?

Im just a dyno guy, kit details are upto the developer. But the 3 agm batteries more or less fit the stock tray so its a packaging thing. The insane torque makes this a hoot to drive.

Dynomotive.ca is my site. I tune everything from our Universities Formula SAE car to 3000 hp extreme drag radial cars. Owned one type of dyno or another for 13 years. Tuning longer.

UPDATE #2 - Here is what everyone is waiting for. Had alot of fun today ripping it, car feels great.

We vetted out the stock tune, works great on stock tune, really damn impressed with this thing. STOCK tune actually made more HP!!!! Im working with the developer of this to get even more out of it.

As you can see EVERY SINGLE DAMN psi counts, if we can get 1 more PSI up top thats AT LEAST 20 hp more peak!

Peak gains are 80FT pd in the dip!!!!!!!!

Without further ado, the fabled numbers are IN!

First up, stage 1 visconti, stage 1 visconti with Phantom supercharger

Next up TORQUE.... and lots of them. Read out was 188 ft/pd compared to stock 109, anyone want 75% more torque?

Next up, STOCK for STOCK. Bolt on supercharger and go. We actually made more with stock tune!

Next up, AFR's STOCK vs STOCK with super:

NOW LASTLY..... i have a overlay with vortech SC(same dyno), you guys wouldn't be interested in see that would you?

OH btw this is all at a DAM of 1 and no knock correction
