Sucks that the experience depends so much on where you are, but it is what it is.

Unfortunately it's like that with any issue. In the past I ended up ditching the dealership I bought a car from, which had a great sales staff, because their service department was horrible. If you are in an area without many dealerships you are kind of stuck.

Not at all, I average like 27.1 MPG. I never even turn off traction control.

They are offering my down payment back to put towards a new or used vehicle from the dealer or any dealership they own. It's now going to take a few weeks for parts to get in before I will get it back. They know I will be under lemon law so they are trying to "buy" me out of my car.

Someone asked about lemon laws. Look up the laws per your state; however, most likely it will be 3 repairs for same issue or the car is under service for 30days. Which should include you waiting for them to get the parts in. Toyota does not want the media involved. This platform so far has been very successful from a sales and review stand point. They would rather not have a "gas pedal" situation like they had a few years back.
Make sure to keep all records dates times mileage etc for the vehicle. And after 10 days in the service department issue the dealer a notice you are going to use your rights under lemon law. Also send a registered or certified mail letter to the manufacture for a claim under the lemon laws. They will deny it then you hire an attorney to represent you. Most if not all states the car manufacture not dealer will be responsible to pay your attorney fees. You may have to have a retainer up front. Good luck, but like I said they won't let it get that far. They will work with you.

Yeah, for new cars in AZ it is 4 repairs or 30 days in service within the first 24k miles or 2 years.

I will be patient, and after 10 days in I'll speak to the GM of the dealer and let them know I plan on filing a claim with an attorney if they don't work with me.

I actually got the code twice. The first time was during a cool down period of sorts after some hard fast driving. I was out of state and far away from where I live so I reset the code with an OBDII tool I had with me. 600 miles later during a period of easy driving I got the code again.

I've got 2000 miles, all pretty hard driven in the same hot weather as other posters. The car saw a new filter swapped in place of the one that came with it at 500miles. I did however swap out the factory oil which was water thin and still full of break in metal, at just under 1500. I was surprised how thin it was.

If there i any issue with the product, it should surface under my lead foot sooner than later.

Fingers crossed, driving it as hard as I possibly can.

It seems the idle only gets rough when my car is warmed up. And it doesnt show CEL untill after almost 10sec. It sounds just like it's running on 3 cylinders when the idle goes really low.

Someone should hook up a odb adapter with the torque app and see what the timing shows I'm curious if it shows that it's locked. My app shows it advancing and regarding the timing but I never looked at that when I had my cel issue.

Whiteout FR-S, drove for 120KM before CEL On, Location: Ontario, Canada
Car has been at the dealership for 1.5 weeks, waiting for some part to arrive. No estimated date.

Received Loaner: Rav4

Contacted Toyota/Scion, waiting for update.
Horrible Dealership service.

I'm driving with the CEL/TRAC light on until Subaru comes out with an official TSB...

my throttle response sucks.. but honestly i feels the same as day one..ive reset the CEL and it still is laggy as heck.. I've found that changing my foot angle helps a lot with this..
