WTT Full Red Taillights for Stock *Purchased Please Close*
I hope I can post this type of request in here. I’m wanting to see if anyone wants to trade their stock taillights for the all red ones on my 2016 FR-S. They were modified before I purchased the car and it is a very high quality vinyl wrap. It’s hard to tell if the vinyl was applied on the inside or outside. No visible scratches on them, they look brand new. The light output is bright.

Why not just peel the vinyl off?

I didn’t think I could, but that would be the easiest solution. Is there anything specific you need to remove vinyl like warming it up? I think the vinyl may have been applied on the inside. I wouldn’t want to open them up in that case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've never seen anyone vinyl from the inside but the easiest way to tell is to remove the tails and look on the back, it's very easy to remove them too. Heat may help, just do it on a hot day or use a blow dryer.
If you have glue residue then I'd use some Goo Gone and remove the stickiness.

I’m going to give it a try! it would make more sense if the outside is vinyl wrapped. And we have plenty of heat here so that won’t be a problem. Thanks for the suggestion! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ok so I removed a tail light, and I see the brand Koito on the back. I’m guessing these are aftermarket lights? And they are painted red, I tried taking a tiny bit off the back edge and the little piece chipped off, like thin paint. It can’t be vinyl.
Not sure what to do know, I might look for a used set of stock OEM lights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That’s what I was thinking also. Yes it would be nice to trade for stock lights, I would feel better about getting them from a FT86 member. Some of the OEM lights on Ebay sound sketchy. And prices are all over the place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I purchased a pair of Subaru OEM tails from someone local to me. I will hang on to the red ones in case I ever want to switch back. Thanks everyone.
