Oddly enough, when I was working up north last summer, I saw two first gens in as many days.

Always love seeing them out on the road. Not a car you get to see often enough.

Congrats!

I have driven several, and almost bought one several times. They are awesome.

Is it USDM or did you import it? I've heard that you can get a imported NSX for around 30k, but that sounds too good to be true.

For sure they're a different beast. It's a testament to how great and ahead of its time this car was in the early 90's. I had a chance to do one of those super car events where I drove a Ferrari F430 for a couple laps with an instructor. And while fun, the Ferrari didn't have the raw driving experience the NSX has. The Ferrari is more refined in almost every way but with that refinement, it lost something.

USDM, didn't look into importing, but I agree, 30k sounds too good to be true.

The car may cost $30K but then all the fees, licenses, taxes, shipping, and legally required upgrades may make it more like $60K. Then you have the total pain in the ass of trying to drive a RHD car in a LHD world which is not nearly as fun as it sounds. I personally like to be able to pass without the fear of dying before I even get out from behind the car in front of me.

Wow I find that hard to believe - back in those days, the NSX was the 'docile & refined' driving experience compared to the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. of those days. I haven't driven an F430, but I've had plenty of time in an F360 with a Tubi exhaust and found that to be a far more visceral and 'manly' driving experience than the NSX's I've driven (albeit the NSXs were stock, F360 was stock except for that insane Tubi exhaust).
