That 40 some odd pound weight gain, is mainly due to the wheels. Call Jenny Craig....maybe she can help , but hey she would also probably want more $$ as well, everyone has their hand out...and hands in the cookie jar

It is mainly the aero and the bigger wheels and brakes. Stiffeners and other braces don't weight too much. In general the North American models weight much more comparing to other countries. I guess they had to strenghen the chassis with additional components for better collision protection. You have many big trucks and heavy SUV and somehow this little car has to survive in such conditions.

I have a feeling most of the reviews will just complain about lack of power

$41k...what else to get beside this lovely BRZ?

For 41k new...I would probably buy a MY17 Chevy SS.

I did a quick check on Toyota's site and didn't see any indication that it was offered. You scared me for a second, haha.

I'm curious to know what the rationale was to determine that the color wouldn't be available in some form on this side of the world, as it looks like Japan and Australia are the current known locations to have it. My eyes are currently on the Heritage Blue 2018, but I admit I'll kick myself if Cool Grey shows up in 2019.

That's 41k Canadian Dollars which is like $33.5k US Dollars.

For the reviews, that's inevitable but from the 4 or 5 reviews out from the Canadian/Australian version they didn't really make it a big deal.

The only review so far that had a negative verdict was one from Australia where they said the extra grip took away the fun that BRZ was known for.

At $41K Cdn it is grossly marked up since list is slightly over $37K Cdn.

At least the lap times will look much better on account of the tires, so it would be harder to say its slow by the numbers this time. Here's hoping...

I thought so...but then mark up + MSRP shouldn't be advertised as MSRP.

Do Canadian cars have Window/Monroney Stickers with the MSRP? I was wondering why these cars don't have any.

Some do, some don't. They are not required to display them.

Isn't Thunder the same as Cool Grey?

My bad, I thought the 41k was USD with a crazy markup. If you can get the tS without markup I think it's a super solid deal. I would buy one and just keep it stock probably.

They usually get sent to an auction and Subaru retailers can bid on them. Then they sell it as a used car.

Normally, yes. It's one of the reasons why there were multiple 2017 Series Yellow that were being sold used with less than 1000 miles each. With the exception being buyers remorse cars.
