Food for thought: Supras

The engine can take a beating and the fad is a fragile thought and fear that the engine will hold. If you plan on FI you plan for the worst because you are dealing with more advanced factors on your engine and car. But if you FI I am sure you will make the decision to take care of your engine and look for the best quality of turbo kit and components you can get and not take shortcuts.

I've been pushing 400whp on FI for 15k miles now and no problems. So it all depends on quality and care.

Just my 2Cents.

Nice ride @fst86frs I like that you take the road less taken. We are all young and still learning about this platform But we are the pave makers.
If you're that confident, bring it out to the track and let's see how many minutes it lasts

Good color choice

Not trying to bash on the owner here... your money, your car.
I assume this is a twin non-sequential setup... The only benefit i see to this setup is quicker spool than a single larger turbo, and hence more bottom end torque.... at the expense of added complexity 2x turbo cost, 2x wastage cost, 2x bov cost etc.

I would be curious to know why the owner was going this route rather than sequential (if your spending the money in the first place to go dual) or a more traditional single turbo setup...

Hes not talking about the supra engine...hes talking about the fact that you made a comparison between the FA20 and the 2JZ.

Part of your assumption is correct, they are true twins not sequencial. As for the other stuff not so true, I can make a single still respond well and parts cost was actually not double. I work at forced air technologies so decided to do something different with my car, I do also have a gtx30r if i wanted to go single turbo. Im pretty knowledgeable in turbo-ing since it's what I work with everyday. any questions fee free to pm me!

The engine bay is very tidy, but I feel there is a sore lack of heat management with this setup.

I can't even be mad at this.... This is beautiful.

You wanted to do something different, had the means to do it, and it seems like you did it right.

I'm more of a making efficient power kind of guy but I can really appreciate the work that went into this
