Aria - A/T '15 Halo White FR-S Build! (Image Heavy)

I decided to make a thread for my FR-S and its progress. I don't have a lot of room to do much performance wise, as I just graduated and I'm working on moving out of my parent's house to somewhere with space and freedom to work on the car. HOAs are the worst for a sports car...

So to start, why the name? Well to start, an Aria is basically an Italian term for an expressive melody filled with emotion, which I feel describes this car perfectly. Driving it always leaves me with a stupid grin on my face.

Anyways, back to the car. Aria's an Automatic 2015 FR-S in Halo White that came with the TRD Sway Bar, Exhaust, Air Filter, and Brake Pads. Everything else is stock, save the small cosmetic mods I've done in the month or so since I brought her home.

I've got some plans for FI and Suspension upgrades, but that may have to wait until I get my own place or find a good shop that I can work with to make it happen. In the meantime, this thread will mostly be cosmetic mods.

It's taken me this long to realize that editing the OP doesn't bump the thread. So I'll start posting in here more to keep people updated.Anyways, Rexpeed Wide Angle Mirrors ordered. I really wanted to get rid of some of the blind spots, and the blue tint is cool as well. I'm still debating what body mods to do - I'm thinking some ABS skirts, and then maybe a bit larger of a wing.

Thanks!

I installed the Rexpeed wide angle mirrors last night.

These things are great. Took five minutes to install and they really do help.

The blue tint looks great during the daytime, cuts down glare at night, and due to the curve of the mirror I can even see behind my car on both sides even when I'm driving. I really don't have any more blind spots.

It seems like my current mod choices are being dictated by what forum groupbuys catch my eye lol. The CF brake light should be shipping this week, and I'm putting my name down for some new pulleys. Can't wait!

So after seeing @wheelhaus' perfectly crafted CF Third Brake light, I knew I needed one for myself. The lifted trucks that dominate Bakersfield were reason enough to raise up the brake light a bit.

The kit from the groupbuy was really well put together, and the instructions took about an hour to put together, when all was said and done. I think the car should've come with it stock, to be honest.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Nothing really planned for a month or so, since I'm waiting on the NonStopTuning pulleys.

I've also come to the unfortunate conclusion that with the way I drive, in the places I drive, I will not be able to get a body kit or lowering springs / coilovers of any kind. What suspension changes I do make will have to keep the stock height. I've had too many small scrapes to the bottom of the car as is.

So, that means the next major mod is the lights! Buddy Club JDM rears and Winjet fronts. Hoping for a good tax return! Then I'll be saving up for the summer, where I'm hoping to get some time off and take it down to Counter Space Garage for an overhaul.

My tax return looks good enough to get those lights and maybe a bit more, so I'm pretty stoked. Looking into a CF Vented Hood, because racecar

I think that's the last scion branding on the car that was left to do.

Alright everyone, it's time to keep your fingers crossed because I've filed my tax return last week, and if I did the math right I'll be able to afford new tail lights, new tires, and new wheels. That is if it arrives in time.
