It's essentially a racket. They extort a whole bunch of money out of companies who want to sell products in California. Like most things govt does, it has more to do with protecting entrenched interests (helps big guys snuff out the upstarts that can't afford the certification to sell in the biggest market in the country), and fundraising than anything else.
What's funny is that carb approved products are, by their non-adjustable nature, actually worse for the environment in some cases than the same product would be if you could actually tune the damn thing properly. at least the weather is really nice. |

got my Koyorad radiator in one more supporting mod down in preparation for the innovate kit. @robispec I know i wanted your radiator/oil cooler combo but I got a mocal oil cooler and a koyorad radiator for $600 so it was too big of a steal to not jump on it. I still have some parts I want to get from you so don't worry you will see one of my paychecks!

He still hasn't divulged the torque and, more importantly, how early it comes on. I believe that will be the more impressive part of the equation.

This is the same supercharger unit as it has always been? Or have they moved to a larger unit? If it's this same one:
http://www.sprintex.com.au.cust.webi...percharger.pdf Then 260whp at 7psi is amazing since the unit itself is rated for 300 crank horsepower at 14.7psi. There is still an embargo on solid information? I guess since we're still posting in the "look what I found searching the web" thread, it's all still speculations.... Months after Innovate took out a full page ad in some magazines, we still don't have real data. Just amazing..... budi |
